Online Learning Opportunities with eXtension Campus

eXtension Campus is an online campus that provides objective research-based information and learning opportunities that help people improve their lives.  Campus hosts live webinars and online courses in many topics including Yard and Garden.  Many of these events are appropriate for UC Master Gardener volunteers seeking continuing education hours.

UC Master Gardener Program Recorded Trainings

Due to COVID-19 and the safety of our communities a statewide order of sheltering-in-place for California has made it necessary to cancel and or postpone all in person training classes.  The statewide UC Master Gardener Program office has established and will be managing a course on eXtension campus.  This course is functioning as a repository for UC Master Gardener related training that volunteers can view remotely.  Recordings, online resources and quizzes, for volunteers will be posted in the course as they become available during this time of transition. Access to this is FREE and open to the public.

Spotted Lanternfly in California

This course is designed to inform the public, master gardeners and other stakeholders on the threat posed by spotted lanternfly (SFL) to the state of California. SLF is a destructive invasive insect threatening agricultural and ornamental plants.

Invasive Species Scout

This is course is for UC Master Gardeners.   UC Master Gardener specific scouting, surveying and reporting project is being developed (Jan. 2023) and piloted in select California counties. This course explores what it means to be a scout and how you can express your interest in participating in the project.

    • Some courses may allow guest access, some require an account.
    • It is suggested that you make an account so you can track your progress and see your history

eXtension campus offers help online through Campus Help Page.

If your question is not answered through Campus Help Page, or if you require personal assistance with some issue, then the following are your options for assistance:
  • For questions about course content, quizzes, completion status, certificates, etc., contact the teacher listed for the course in question.  Every course should display a "Course Contacts" block--probably on the left side of the course page. That block provides the names of the course teachers along with links for sending your teacher an email.  Click on the envelope icon to activate your email program.
